One of James’ best friends in Galveston was Edgar Ezell, who interned with him at John Sealy Hospital. Edgar’s wife Waneta (yes, she really spelled her name like that—unusual , huh?), became a graduate nurse about the time Edgar graduated from Medical School.
Waneta has been our true friend ever since those days. Edgar is dead now (1998), but Waneta is still a lively, vibrant woman.
