Senior Class of '36

We did Daddy Warbucks for our senior play, and I was one of the orphans.

I also worked on the school paper and annual. We mimeographed both, but had a few pages of actual photos in our Depression Annual.

At my senior banquet, and I played “Boots and Saddle” as part of the entertainment (see clip below). Ha!

Big Bands came to San Angelo for dances on the mezzanine of the Cactus Hotel. I went to a few of those dances. Had long dresses that were mainly bought for recitals. I think my friends all danced.

We didn’t have a senior prom. Senior proms hadn’t been invented yet, I guess!
Four of us who were in the orchestra played at our graduation though; we wore long evening dresses under our gowns. I was afraid I would trip on my long dress going up to get my diploma.
